Carolyn Bloom

Carolyn learned how to knit when she was a stay-at-home mother of two babies. While she loved being home with her children, she felt a strong pull to do something creative - and just for her. Around that time, Carolyn began receiving brochures for Adult Education classes at a local community college and found herself returning repeatedly to the course description about knitting.

Fast forward nearly two decades and she has found herself fully immersed in the world of the fibre arts. She has found such joy in the creative outlets of knitting and crocheting - and most recently, embroidery on knitting and crocheting. She thoroughly enjoys creating her own designs, deriving inspiration from favourite objects of her childhood, architecture, nature and other forms of art, such as quilting and sashiko.
