Alison is a versatile artist, designer and teacher. Following a degree in Printed textiles at Loughborough University, in partnership with a friend, she set up Blooming Designs, which was a successful textile design business selling print designs to leading high street fashion chains both in the U.K. and internationally.

Since 2019, under the Blooming Designs name, Alison has been running art workshops including Batik, Block printing on fabric, Gel plate printing, and Still life on the family farm at Meon Springs in Hampshire. This includes Art in the Barn, a twice yearly creative arts week which she runs with fellow artist Liz Wellby.
