Having been brought up in a family of seamstresses and tailoresses, Alex has loved sewing from a young age.

She has trained professionally in soft furnishings, attending a number of courses, before spending several years honing her skills at a leading soft furnishing and interiors workshop in the Cotswolds.

Alex now runs her business (Alex Kathryn Interiors) in Farnham, which specialises in creating luxury bespoke soft furnishings for interior designers, architects, and private clients.

In addition to her studio work, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and now teaches various sewing courses through creative organisations and charities.
