News Story

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Wednesday, we want to update you on how we are planning to move forward at the Maltings and at the museum of farnham. The safety of our audience, performers, volunteers, and staff remains of utmost importance to us.

From Friday 10 December, in line with government guidelines, we require all visitors to our buildings to wear a face covering, unless exempt. Face coverings may be removed whilst eating and drinking.

Our workshop programme this season has been arranged with social distancing in mind. We are strongly advising that face coverings are worn during craft workshops, however the room layout is such that each work station is spaced at least 1m apart and the rooms are well ventilated to allow the flow of fresh air so once seated in a workshop you may remove your face covering.

We suggest that all visitors make use of the sanitiser stations placed throughout the building.

Our staff working in public facing roles inside and outside the buildings and moving around the building continue to wear face coverings. We will continue with enhanced cleaning and one-way systems for events. We ask that you consider your proximity to others whilst in the building.

We will keep reviewing our safety measures and government advice during the coming weeks. We understand that everyone has different views on social distancing and the wearing of face coverings, and we ask that you respect others.

The Farnham Maltings box office is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 9am to 3pm. Our friendly team are on hand to help you with your bookings. If you would prefer not to sit too close to other audience members, we will do our best to recommend seats which might suit you better.

Should you have an enquiry relating to visiting or attending an event at the museum of Farnham, contact their front desk and the team will be happy to help, they are open 10am-5pm Tuesday to Saturday.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
