caravan assembly, a partnership between Farnham Maltings and Brighton Festival, is thrilled to unveil its three-day biennial event showcasing the best in theatre and performing arts from across England. The caravan assembly 2024 programme promises an exciting array of performances, pitches, and discussions aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation within the international arts community.

caravan is an international initiative delivered by Farnham Maltings. Through its year-round projects and events caravan, supports the independent theatre community in their ambitions to explore and create on an international scale-supporting collaboration, reciprocity, and exchange all around the world.

caravan assembly 2024 will be held 12 – 14 May 2024, as part of the Brighton Festival which runs from 04 - 26 May. Following the success of previous showcases in 2020 and 2022, caravan assembly 2024 aims to build on its international reach through both in-person attendance and with an enhanced online platform.

The assembly will feature seven full performances alongside pitching sessions for another seven artists and companies, providing invaluable exposure and networking opportunities. The event offers a platform for England-based artists and companies to connect with international commissioners, presenters, festival programmers, and potential collaborators. All seven showcase performances will be open to the public as part of the Brighton Festival's programme, ensuring widespread exposure and engagement.

Under the new leadership of Peter Glanville, CEO of Farnham Maltings, caravan assembly embarks on a new chapter dedicated to amplifying diverse voices and fostering cross-cultural dialogue.
