Youth Theatre Practitioner
jobsJob Description
Farnham Maltings is seeking passionate, dedicated Youth Theatre Practitioners to lead our Senior Group (ages 11-14) and/or our Advanced group (age 14-18) on Wednesday evenings. Sessions are from 5-6.45pm and then 7-9pm respectively at Farnham Maltings.
Maltings Youth Theatre aims to challenge its members and is ambitious and forward thinking, with a focus on amplifying the voices of young people. Therefore, we are keen to hear from practitioners with a broad range of skills including devising, physical theatre or perhaps writing and movement.
The ideal candidate would have professional theatre and/or performance experience alongside knowledge of working with these age groups and share a love of developing communication skills and resilience with young people. Many of our youth theatre members are expanding their knowledge of drama and getting curious about developing their technique. Each term ends with an informal sharing of work in progress with an invited audience of friends and family, along with a more formal performance each summer.
This is an exciting time of growth for our youth theatre and we are looking for experienced youth theatre practitioners who can work within our ambitions to help shape its future while upholding our creative company ethos.
