Spend a fun and creative day weaving a chicken sculpture to enhance your garden or to make a really special gift.

Predominately using a random weave, this is a class where, once you’ve learnt the basics, you don’t have to concentrate too hard and you can chat as you weave! You will also learn some interesting techniques for the details of legs, comb and tail feathers – all borrowed from traditional basket making.

There is plenty of room for creativity and you don’t even need to stick to chickens. Any bird of a similar size is possible – whether real or the product of your imagination. You bring the ideas and expert willow weaver, Judith Needham, will help you turn them into sculpture!

Suitable for beginners and those who have worked with willow before.
