Celebrate the launch of the museum’s new Victorian Farnham display and discover Farnham’s Victorian Celebrity connection.

Head back to the 1800s and meet Florence Nightingale, one of the most significant figures in 19th century social reform. She had links to Farnham and stayed frequently with her Aunt and Uncle who bought Waverley Abbey House in the 1830s. Florence is believed to have stayed in Farnham the night before she left for Scutari, Crimea in October 1854.

Come and learn about Victorian health cures from our pharmacist and take part in a Victorian themed craft session.

This event is to celebrate the arrival of a communion set donated by Florence Nightingale to Trimmer Hospital (which later became Farnham Hospital).

The object is on long-term loan from Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.
