This workshop is perfect for knitters who have some experience of two-colour stranded colourwork and would like to take their colourwork skills to the next level.We will begin with a revision of “best practice” for two-colour stranded colourwork, along with some tips for addressing common issues that can crop up with stranded colourwork. Following this, participants will be guided to work on a sample that enables the teaching and practice of two colour Lateral and Latvian Braids, Inlay Knitting and two- and three-colour colourwork. The sample will be worked in the round and, if desired, can be continued after the workshop to form a tubular cowl.
Suitable for intermediates. Students should have some experience of two-colour stranded colourwork.
Please bring with you:

  • 4mm / US size 6 circular needles with a 12-16” cable length,
  • 3 solid colours in DK-weight yarn (approx. 200g of one colour and 80g each of two contrasting colours),
  • 1 stitch marker, - scissors.
