Textile artist Vanessa Rolf will introduce her working methods researching archives, using maps and delving into stories about people and landscapes.

Her ongoing series of works Keepers, inspired by Hampshire Cultural Trust’s archives of archaeological artefacts questions the value of things, what we choose to keep, how we treasure objects, and how these shape our ideas about being human.

Vanessa will also outline her approach to research and how she develops this into textiles, through hand stitch and inlaid appliqué methods with wool felt.
