Join us at the Museum of Farnham's Garden Gallery on the evening of Thursday 3 September for a free creative session exploring simple embroidery detailing onto cyanotype-printed cloth.

Whether a complete beginner or a seasoned embroiderer come along and enjoy a creative evening hand embroidering botanical elements of cyanotype prints, inspired by a sense of belonging, place and community. Your contribution will become part of a collaborative community artwork that began with cyanotype printing on cloth, followed by sewing this cloth into banners and are now continuing the process by embroidering elements of botanical detail to highlight pattern, texture and form.

The project will culminate in a large-scale textile installation at Farnham Maltings during Farnham Craft Month 2026 and the 30th Anniversary of the Festival of Craft, celebrating Farnham’s status as a World Craft Town.
