In this workshop, you’ll create short pieces of music using Ableton Live’s session view, guided by a written brief. Then, using Ableton Push, you’ll improvise music to match the visuals described in the brief.

The focus is on getting comfortable with Ableton Live, learning how to perform with Push, and translating a brief into musical ideas. It’s an interactive and fun way to dive into composing for screen.

While some musical experience is helpful, it’s not a requirement. Everyone can join in, and even if you don’t have a musical background, you’ll still get plenty out of the improvisation process.
