A Suminagashi ink marbling workshop is the perfect introduction to marbling. Ink marbling is a mindful activity, a chance for adults looking to explore their creativity with colour and pattern and learn a new skill.

In this session, you'll be guided through the process of ink marbling, creating mesmerising, organic patterns and finishing the class, creating a simple Japanese stitch-bound book.

You will learn about the history of this ancient craft and be guided on best papers to use. Your tutor, Rachel O'Connell, will take you through the process of ink marbling, through demonstrations, to create patterns on paper, using simple tools and breath-work.

All materials, apron and gloves provided. Please wear old clothing as ink can stain.
