The Farnham Creatives’ Network is a growing social group set up to provide local artists, makers, designers, educators, gallerists and creatives of all kinds with an opportunity to meet and get to know each other a little better.
Relaxed and informal gatherings are held every six weeks or so, hosted by Farnham Maltings, where creatives can chat over a drink and share ideas and experiences in a friendly and collaborative environment.
The social group's reputation has grown fast and events have become really popular. They are free to attend and open to all. There is no set agenda, no formal talks or presentations, but to stimulate conversations or acknowledge an upcoming event such as Farnham’s Craft Month or Surrey Artists’ Open Studios, each session is assigned a focus.
“I believe that if you put creative people in a room together, stuff happens. There is a real buzz with members setting up exhibitions, festivals and events together as well as making useful connections. It’s also a great way for people moving to the area to find a creative community.”Denise Jaques, Artist and Co-Founder
