Farnham Maltings is excited to announce our next Advancing Artists event – the Summer Sessions!
A development opportunity and networking event tailored for South East artists. Offering training, advice and discussions focussed upon building relationships with libraries, schools, communities and other organisations.
AM Session
Working with and for Libraries
Featuring practical advice and case studies from our Buckinghamshire Libraries partners, the national Re:Kindle project plus, three experienced artists who will be sharing top tips. Also includes a practical hands on session with training resources developed by Creative Arts East, exploring different scenarios and a final Q&A.
Lunch
An extended lunch (included in your booking price) will be available; offering plenty of time for socialising and meeting new faces.
PM Sessions
Developing Community Partnerships
We’ll start our afternoon with James Yarker, Artistic Director of visionary company Stan's Cafe, who will lead a session on collaborative working and partner relationships, alongside an opportunity to look around the company's renown show/exhibition Of All The People In All The Word, in our Great Hall.
Our School Partners
Rounding off the day, Kathryn Mills of leading arts-based learning charity Delight will share her experiences developing relationships with schools and organisations in order to reach young people.
