Bark Bark: Dog-Friendly Show Disclaimer & Guidance

This guidance concerns pet dogs; it does not apply to assistance dogs, who are always welcome when their owners require them.
- Pet dogs are only allowed at performances that are strictly advertised as dog-friendly.
- Farnham Maltings trusts in good faith that customers won't decide to bring their dog to a theatre show if there isn't a reasonable expectation that the dog will be able to sit calmly through the performance, and be comfortable in a venue with other people and dogs.
- Your dog is expected to sit or stay close to you during the performance, either on the floor next to you, or on your lap. For the safety of the live performers and other audience members we require you keep them on a lead.
- Dog owners will be given a blanket which they must use to protect the seat/floor where their pet is sitting.
- If your dog becomes too disruptive to the event, you will be expected to take your dog outside until they are calm enough to return. If the disruption is too frequent, you and your dog will be asked to leave the event. No refunds will be offered in this scenario.
- If your dog fouls or otherwise makes a mess in the venue, the owner of the dog is responsible for clearing up the mess, although Farnham Maltings staff may be able to provide cleaning materials/products.
- Farnham Maltings does not accept any responsibility for the aggressive or destructive behaviour of the dogs present. Should dog behaviour result in injury, damage to belongings or discomfort, it is expected that the dog owner is responsible, and will resolve the situation in a helpful manner, as you might at a public park or a friend's party. We presume that all pets will be insured.
