This autumn festival showcases the UK's finest artisans. Now in its 27th year, our annual 2-day event features a curated selection of handmade crafts across all media, including homewares, jewellery, ceramics, stationery, accessories, furniture, lighting, textiles and print.


The festival champions great design and the process of making, both traditional and modern techniques and skills. This show offers a relaxed environment for visitors to browse and meet and buy directly from the makers.

festival of crafts takes place on Sat 14 & Sun 15 October. Opening times: Sat 14 9am to 5pm, Sun 15 10am - 4pm.

entry tickets

Tickets to festival of crafts are available in advance and on the door. Feel free to arrive any time from opening and stay as long as you like.

workshops

Workshop purchases are final sale and non-refundable. If you are unable to attend and will be sending someone in your place please let us know no later than midnight on 12 October 2023.

Workshop purchases include admission to the festival of crafts marketplace on the same day as your workshop. Workshop attendees may enter the festival from 9am on the same day as their workshop.

Please check in for your workshop at the Information Desk in the foyer next to the Box Office at least 15 minutes before your class.

food and on-site cafe

The riverside café operates from both the foyer and riverside.

There is ample seating in the riverside area, tables in our spacious foyer and when the sun shines there is outdoor seating on our patio areas. Tables can be booked in advance at Box Office.

Choose from homemade soups served with artisan sourdough, open Danish sandwiches and freshly made main dishes. Our regular selection of hot and cold drinks is available together with fresh pastries from our supplier SØDT bakery.

We can cater for gluten free diets and other special dietary requirements, please speak to a server.

cash and card payments

There is no cash ATM on site at the Maltings. Most exhibitors take card payments but not all. Should you need a cash point there are a NatWest, HSBC and Barclays a quick 10 minute walk away on The Borough. A Lloyds Bank is also nearby on Castle Street.
