As a result of the government’s announcement that Surrey is placed in tier 2, we are pleased that The Maltings’ public spaces and café will reopen from Wed 02 December at 9am.
The riverside café will be open between 9am and 3pm from the Foyer Bar, serving food between 11.30am and 2.30pm (from Thu 03 December). There will be festive treats alongside our regular menu. Should you want to reserve a table, please contact box office.
What the new restrictions will mean for events taking place in December.
The maltings monthly market will take place on Sat 05 December from 9am to 4pm. Entrance is £1 on the door (Maltings’ members and under 16s enter for free). A perfect opportunity to shop local, support local businesses and reconnect with us, safely.
The Maltings Christmas fair takes place on Fri 11 and Sat 12 December, 10am to 9pm. Timed-entry tickets (£1) must be booked in advance. Slots are booking fast but there is still plenty of availability.
All films, screenings and live performances are scheduled to go ahead. If your booking comprises of members of different households, please contact us and we will do our best to reallocate your seats. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name and booking reference. Please clearly state the new seating requirements for your party.
Our workshop programme will go ahead and are all completely covid-secure and socially distanced.
If you are attending a regular event or class, be it ballet or Wing Chun, check with your individual group organiser to see how the new restrictions may affect your activity.
These have been complicated set of challenges to manage and we are immensely grateful for the care and hard work of the staff team, the support of our community and funders and we are looking forward to welcoming you back!
Please note that Tier 2 regulations mean that only members of the same household or support bubble may meet together indoors.
