Morgan & West: More Magic for Kids!

Start the half term by joining the time-travelling magicians Morgan & West and their engaging show More Magic for Kids! Expect a marvellous magic show full of crazy capers for the children and adults. The 60 minute show is aimed at children 5 years+ but under 5s are welcomed too.

Does your child enjoy dancing, acting and a spot of doodling while watching a live show? The Chit Chat Chalk Show will have your child entertained with all the above. The show follows Kiko on a magical chalky adventure where the children will dance, draw and giggle their way through from beginning to end! This show is charming, physical & packed with interaction for children aged 3-8 years & their families. Please come in clothes you don’t mind getting chalky! A 13:00 workshop is available for those who have booked tickets for either performance.

For young photographers – have fun with photography while learning about your camera’s menus and icons. Take a photo walk around the old Maltings building with resident photographer Angela Walker, discovering how to find different angles, improve composition and take exciting close-ups. Take part in exciting exercise and theatre games, learn how to improvise and create a scene plus work with a script and bring the words to life! No experienced needed just bring energy, enthusiasm and a love of theatre!
Children’s Metallic Printing Workshop – tickets

Recommended ages 6+
Have fun creating metallic prints at this guided workshop. The foils work best on fabrics such as cottons. A range of materials will be supplied, but see what you have at home to up-cycle and transform. Bring in a couple of t-shirts to the workshop or even a tote bag.
Fascinating Photograms Workshop – tickets

Recommended ages 7+
A chance to make super shadow pictures or photograms in the Maltings’ darkroom. You can use any object or shape, including flowers or leaves, to create your design, then magically turn it into a permanent image using traditional photo paper and chemicals – no camera required! All materials are provided, and photograms can be decorated and taken home.

Bring you whole family to the screening of Paddington 2 on 14 February at the Maltings – the story continues the adventures of Paddington now settled in well in London. While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s hundredth birthday, Paddington spots a unique pop-up book in an antique shop, and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it.
