Just when you are finally back into a routine with the children back at school, it seems that half term is just around the corner! Fortunately our family programme this Spring offers a wide range of shows that are bound to entertain all ages and tastes. Take a look below at the exciting family programme this season that will make you look forward to school holidays again.
February: Half Term and Beyond
Morgan & West: More Magic for Kids!
Sun 11 February, 2.30pm – tickets
Recommended ages 5+
Start the half term by joining the magicians Morgan & West and their engaging show, More Magic for Kids! Can everyone’s favourite duo of deception finally find fame, fortune, and a box of fondant fancies? Expect a marvellous magic show full of crazy capers for the children and adults. The 60 minute show is aimed at children 5 and over, but under 5s are welcome too. The Chit Chat Chalk Show, by The Knotted Project and Hawk Dance Theatre

Does your child enjoy dancing, acting and a spot of doodling while watching a live show? The Chit Chat Chalk Show will have your child entertained with all the above. The show follows Kiko on a magical chalky adventure where the children will dance, draw and giggle their way through from beginning to end! This show is charming, physical & packed with interaction for children aged 3-8 years & their families. Please come in clothes you don’t mind getting chalky! A 13:00 workshop is available for those who have booked tickets for either performance.
#filmmaltings – Paddington 2

There is something for everyone this Valentines Day! Bring your whole family to the screening of Paddington 2. The story continues the adventures of Paddington now settled with the Brown family in London. While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s hundredth birthday, Paddington spots a unique pop-up book in an antique shop, only for the gift to be stolen by the dastardly Phoenix Buchanan (Hugh Grant). A film for all ages!
Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave

Returning after their previous sell out shows, the Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave will present their award winning family rave to Farnham! An independent, grassroots music and events crew of seasoned ravers and parents put on family raves with all the freedom and excitement of a mini-festival, right in the heart of cities and towns across the UK. Featuring music from DMC legendary producer DJ Chad Jackson, a dance floor filled with bubbles, balloons and glitter, and the ever-popular Captain Cookie Craft tables. Big Howard’s LOL-tastic Yukfest for Kids and Well-Trained Adults

Recommended ages 5+
Howard is a massive kid with a moustache. He makes words, pictures, animation and noises, nearly all of which will make you laugh. If your child is 5 years or above and has a great sense of humour, join Howard for an hour of fun featuring stand-up, interactive digital animation, sound effects, jokes and lots, and lots and lots of clever nonsense (WARNING! – some of the clever nonsense will be extremely silly).
Spark Festival 2018

Spark is the Maltings’ annual multi-arts festival which will be returning for its eleventh year, helping children and young people learn new skills, build confidence and share artistic skills over a series of events/workshops. On the Sunday, the Doodle Dance Show visits our Great Hall, a show that invites full participation of the audience to embark on a magical journey of friendship and adventure. This playful, interactive story-show encourages the children to create a world populated by crazy birds, dancing pirates, strange underwater creatures and more! We guarantee this is the most fun you can have with your family and a giant piece of paper! Suitable for children aged 3 and over.
Ready Steady Lift Off! by A Line Art

Come along to this one of a kind, highly engaging and wacky show where the children will learn 7 survival steps to become an astronaut. Ready Steady Lift Off! is an immersive theatre show for 3-8 year olds and their families, which allows the audience to create, decorate and fly cardboard rockets! Combining live performance, music, storytelling and painting into one exciting theatre show, teaching young children the practical life skills that they may need on a daily basis.
