Share Farnham opened its doors in May with a clear mission; to help the community of Farnham to keep busy during the lockdown.

An appeal went out for donations of puzzles, books, board games, craft supplies and even musical instruments to fill the store. With thanks to the generosity of our local community, the store opened within a week of the initial call and there was soon a steady flow of customers. In the last eight weeks, over 500 families have used the store.

Share Farnham at The Maltings is now on pause. The centre at Hale Community Centre will continue to be open Tuesday and Friday 10am-12pm and Wednesday 2.30pm-4.30pm.

Any items currently out on loan may be returned to the Maltings foyer between 10am-12pm from Monday 20 – Friday 24 July.

The good news is that the store does plan to re-open!  The team are currently looking at where and how, and are confident it won’t be long.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who have given their time to run the store and to the visitors for helping to create the warm community hub that it has quickly become.

Watch this space!
