Roll up! Roll up! Come and see the amazing Vanishing Man

Well, you won’t be able to see the actual vanishing man because, well…he’s vanished. But you will be able to join Directors and Performers Simon Evans (‘The Dazzle’, ‘BUG’ and magical consultant to the NT, Old Vic and Donmar Warehouse) and David Aula (‘The Cement Garden’, ‘Personal Enemy’, and ‘MEAT’) as they examine what really happens when a man, in full sight of his audience, simply ceases to be.

Come along and see a time-hopping, misdirection-abusing, mind-bending show about Hugo Cedar, the Edwardian Vanishing Man.

This is a show about magic. But it’s not a magic show.

What’s it about?

The Vanishing Man is about two friends trying to decode the greatest ever magic trick, performed by Edwardian magician Hugo Cedar. He vanished from London Bridge never to be seen again. This is a theatre show about magic, not a magic show.

Where has it come from?

David and Simon are old friends and created the show together. It was performed at this year’s VAULT festival in London (the Edinburgh Fringe of the capital) and sold out a two week run.

David (The Cement Garden, Personal Enemy, MEAT), and Simon (BUG, The Dazzle) are both very well respected Theatre Directors.

Who will enjoy it?

Anyone with an interest in magic or new theatre, Derren Brown fans, comedy fans. Stick around after the show for a few magic tricks!

What does it look like?

Two men on stage with a piano. There is some audience interaction but nothing scary.

90mins, no interval
