‘Be Still…’
Esther Pritchard

Riverside Café Gallery, Farnham Maltings
30 November 2018 – 04 January 2019

The Riverside Café Gallery is delighted to welcome Esther Pritchard with her exhibition ‘Be Still…’ a collection of beautiful seascape paintings. Esther draws her inspiration from the Great British coastline and uses the power of light to capture both dramatic scenes and subtle reflection.

The sea is a force that penetrates the soul. Like many other aspects of creation, we can lose ourselves in its expansive beauty. This exhibition is an invitation to press pause on life and linger a little longer in a memory from days gone by, or perhaps a hope for days to come.

It is good for us to stop and remember. Equally, it’s important to hold onto a hope that is steadfast and certain. Beyond the choppy waters is a horizon that heralds a new day, a new hope and an unchanging creator. Esther hopes these paintings engage both emotions and memories.

Esther Pritchard

Esther is a self-taught seascape painter from Surrey, working from photographs and sketches to produce oil paintings that reflect the changing light, mood and atmosphere of the British coastline. As an artist, Esther’s greatest joy is seeing people’s emotional response to her work, as they are taken back to a childhood memory or poignant moment on the beach. Her paintings have been showcased locally in Surrey and interest in her work is building momentum.
