Elizabeth was born and bred in Shetland and grew up surrounded by knitters and knitting. She was taught to knit by her mother, at the age of three and has continued to knit ever since. Life has taken her to the other side of the world and now back to England.

She enjoys creating her own lace designs and patterns which reflect her Shetland heritage, its rich culture and places.
