We are open and look forward to seeing you soon
Tuesday to Saturday
10am to 5pm (except bank holidays and Christmas)
Our team have been busy making changes to the building and how we operate to ensure we are working in line with government guidelines, to help keep you safe. Here is what we have done:
You can still visit the museum anytime during our normal opening hours (see above), however we have limited the number of people in the museum to a maximum of 12 at any time. We also have the garden to enjoy, so if you can’t get in to the galleries, don’t worry, you can grab some fresh air.
Access & one way system
Due to the nature of our beautiful, Grade 1 listed Georgian house, some areas can be a little tight for space. In order to help our visitors adhere to social distancing guidelines, we have implemented a one way system for you to follow. You can still see all of the exhibitions and wonderful garden. We have also ensured that everyone with access issues can still visit and our staff and volunteers have been trained to help.
To help reduce the risk of transmission we have put in place other measures. Our children’s trails are now all digital and be accessed via a QR code in reception. We have also done the same for some text panels in galleries, making them more accessible and where possible we have left activities in place, such as our explorer back packs. After use, they are sanitised and quarantined for 3 days.
The library is only available on a Thursday morning or afternoon for pre-bookings. To book a slot, please contact the museum or email email@example.com
More cleaning and sanitising points
We have always taken pride in keeping our building clean and presentable and now we have taken an even stricter and more detailed approach to our cleaning procedures. This includes, hourly cleaning of touch points and toilets by staff and volunteers and plenty of opportunities for visitors to use hand sanitiser and wash their hands.
Volunteer and staff training
Our staff and volunteers have undergone training to improve the knowledge and understanding of our new operating procedures, they are here to help and support you during your visit.
Our hire space has also reopened and we are operating in line with government guidelines as they change. All of the above measures have also been applied to the gallery, please contact us if you wish to know more. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01252 715 094.
