Interested in archaeology? Always wanted to go on a dig?
Since July 2014 archaeological digs opened to the general public on each weekend across Farnham.
Participants of all ages were welcome to try digging, finds washing and recording and find out more about Farnham’s fascinating buried history from our archaeologists.
How to get involved for 2017
Members of the public are welcome to join in our summer digs which are scheduled for July 2017
- Saturday 1st July – Farnham Park
- Sunday 2nd July – Brasserie Blanc, Castle Street
- Sunday 9th July – St Andrew’s Rectory
- Saturday 16th July – Coxbridge Farm

Don’t forget the free celebration day for the Festival for British Archaeology on Saturday July 15th in Gostrey Meadows from 11am-3pm. Come along and try your part in the excavation, meet a prehistoric man, and engage in other archaeological activities.
