Museum visits for families
The Museum provides a range of children’s activities throughout the year. All temporary exhibitions contain children’s activities and activity packs for the permanent galleries are available from the admissions desk.
Holiday drop-in days
Drop-in for our half term sessions and enjoy art and craft activities, storytelling and fun! Run in the school holidays and suitable for children 3+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Thursday 9th August, 2pm-4pm · £6 per child
Join us for a fun and informative session in our beautiful garden. Explore the amazing world of insects, take part in a minibeast safari and build a bug hotel.

Crafternoons: Picture the Past
Thursdays 26th July, 2nd August, 16th August, 23rd August, 2pm-3.30pm · £1 per child
Join us this summer for our Crafternoon sessions and celebrate the 300th anniversary of Willmer House whilst taking part in craft activities from the Georgian, Victorian, WW2 and 1960’s periods.
All materials included. For ages 3-11. Children must be accompanied by one adult. Please note that this is a popular session, space is limited and you may have to wait if the Garden Gallery is full.
