Museum visits for families

The Museum provides a range of children’s activities throughout the year. All temporary exhibitions contain children’s activities and activity packs for the permanent galleries are available from the admissions desk.

Holiday drop-in days

Drop-in for our half term sessions and enjoy art and craft activities, storytelling and fun! Run in the school holidays and suitable for children 3+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Drop-in-Day: Animal Antics!

Wednesday 14th & Thursday 15th February 2018, 10.30am –12.30am  or 1.30pm-3.30pm · £3 per child, per session

Come and join us for some amazing animal art with our ‘Animal Antics’ inspired arts and crafts. Please drop in any time during 10.30am-12.30am & 1.30pm-3.30pm. All materials included. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that you may have to wait if the Garden Gallery is full. For ages 3-7.

Easter! A Twist in the Tale

Creative Writing Workshop

Saturday 7th April 2018, 2pm-3pm · £5 per child

Take part in a fantastic creative writing workshop led by Ally Sherrick, author of Black Powder and winner of the Young Quills Award from the Historical Association.
