The Museum provides a range of children’s activities throughout the year. Children’s activities and trails are available from the admissions desk.
Easter Holiday Activities
April 2020: 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th; 10:30am-12:30pm & 1:30pm-3:30pm. £3 per child
Join us for Easter themed activities at the Museum! Please drop in any time between 10:30am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-3:30pm. All materials included. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For ages 3-8.
Arts & crafts in the Garden Gallery
27th & 27th May 2020, 10:30am-12:30pm & 1:30pm-3:30pm, £3 per child
Join us for a variety of Arts & crafts in the garden gallery! Please drop in any time between 10:30am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-3:30pm. All materials included. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For ages 2-8.

Get creative every Wednesday morning of the summer holidays with Crafty kids at the Museum of Farnham.
Don’t forget to pack a picnic to enjoy in our beautiful garden afterwards. Garden games and teddy bears picnic baskets free to enjoy every week. For ages 2-8.
Teddy bear picnics
28th July & 28th August, 10:30am-12:30pm, Free activity.
New this summer! Bring a picnic and enjoy it in our garden, accompanied by teddy bears. Collect a free basket of teddies and blanket from us and set up in the garden. There will be garden games available to play. For families. Free activity.

Meet the Victorians – 30 July
Travel back in time to Queen Victoria’s reign to enjoy a fun filled session exploring the wonderful world of Queen Victoria. Meet one of Queen Victoria’s maids to learn about life in the palace through drama and role play.
Meet Florence Nightingale – 6 August
To celebrate the Florence Nightingale’s bicentenary join us for this fun packed morning with our very own Florence Nightingale. Find out all about medicine on the Crimea and Florence’s amazing life in this hands on, fact packed session.
Ingenious Inventors – 13 August
Follow in the footsteps of Farnham’s very own famous inventor John Henry Knight by making your own catapult and balloon powered car. Then try out your invention in our balloon car rally and catapult contest.
The Great Museum Bug Hunt – 20 August
Join us for a family friendly, fun and informative session in our beautiful garden. Go on a mini beast safari, make your own wild flower seed bomb and plant your own crazy cress head.
Curious curators – 27 August.
Discover the secrets of the Museum of Farnham by joining as junior curator for the day. Enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the museum, search for artefacts in a mini archaeological dig, find out how to record, care, label and display artefacts and choose your own artefact to display in the Mini museum.
