Museum visits for families
The Museum provides a range of children’s activities throughout the year. All temporary exhibitions contain children’s activities and activity packs for the permanent galleries are available from the admissions desk.
Holiday drop-in days
Drop-in for our half term sessions and enjoy art and craft activities, storytelling and fun! Run in the school holidays and suitable for children 3+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Crafternoons: Animal Magic!
Thursdays 28th July, 11th, 18th and 25th August, 2 – 3.30pm. Free Entry, donations welcome.
Come and join us at the Museum to create and make “Animal Magic.” This is an exciting opportunity to make new friends, explore new materials and stimulate your creativity. This year there are four themes and each week will be different, Animal Cards, Animal Mobiles, Animal Sculptures and Animal Masks.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Recommended for children aged 3 – 11. Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis so you may have to wait for a space.
Our Crafternoons are free, but if you enjoy the activities and would like to contribute towards materials a donation would be welcome.
