A Monochrome View
by Tom Boulton
Riverside Café Gallery, Farnham Maltings | Sat 20 July – Thu 15 August 2019
The Riverside Café Gallery is delighted to welcome Tom Boulton with his exhibition A Monochrome View.
Tom paints landscapes and depicts the natural world around him using many mediums from scraperboard, linocut and collage to mixed media painting and digital drawings.
This exhibition showcases Tom’s beautiful scraperboard work, a perhaps lesser known form of direct engraving. The contrasting black-and-white drawing medium allows the artist to create light, shade and texture in their images by scratching away at a black coating to reveal the white surface underneath, resulting in highly detailed, precise artwork.
Tom specialises in scraperboard works, linocuts, iPad drawings and mixed media landscapes. He has had work selected for the Association of Illustrator’s exhibition, The National Portrait Gallery annual exhibition, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and The National Open Art competition, and has held one man exhibitions in several galleries in the UK.
Work is available to purchase, for all sale enquiries please visit the Box Office or email your
interest to Jackie.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tom is also selling limited edition lithoprints of his work via the Maltings shop.
