Farnham Maltings Closure Statement, 17 March 2020

Following the latest government advice we have, with regret, decided to temporarily close these buildings and cancel all events at the Farnham Maltings and the work we present in venues across the region. The health and safety of our staff, visitors, artists and volunteers is of the utmost importance and we will be exploring in the coming hours and days ways we can care for the community of Farnham and the freelance artists who contribute so much to the quality of life of our country.

We are grateful for the support of Arts Council of England, Waverley Borough Council and Farnham Town Council and pride ourselves on being an organisation rooted in Farnham with a regional and national network with whom we are talking to ensure we come together to support each other and develop ways of caring for every part of our community.

The closure is from today and extends to our cafe and public spaces. This is a situation without precedent, thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through how best we respond. Now is a time to be kind, support our most vulnerable and work together. We will contact all bookers and stakeholders as soon as possible and will let you know when we are able to reopen and look forward to welcoming you back.
