workshop description:

This class will be an exploration of how to express your memories and thoughts of a specific place using knitting as a medium. What is the fabric of your own place? How can you translate the way you navigate the world into a wearable piece of knitwear?
Participants needs to be able to cast on/off and knit/purl. If online, they need to be able to talk and show their work on camera.

Materials:

A selection of scrap yarn Needles to match Pen and paper An open mind.

Tutor: Karie Westermann

Karie is a Danish-Scottish knitting designer, writer, and teacher. Her work combines her love of Nordic storytelling with classic knitwear design. Recent publications includes contributions to The Official Outlander Knitting Book, Knit With Attitude - 10 Years Anniversary, and The Knitter. Karie is a sought-after knitting teacher and has taught all over Europe for many years.
