Unravel: Fixing Mistakes

Workshop Description:

Participants are invited to torture swatches by making and fixing mistakes and learning about the structure of knitted fabric. Participants are also invited to bring along projects where mistakes are holding them back from finishing.

Please bring a 10cm x 10cm swatch in a smooth medium weight yarn still on the needles. Please also feel free to bring a work in progress with a mistake you need help in resolving.

Tutor: Jane Lithgow

Jane is a lifelong knitter, crocheter and spinner with extensive experience. She has been teaching and designing for the last fourteen years becoming a full time freelance textile artist six years ago. She has extensive experience teaching knitting classes for beginners, intermediate, families and private classes by arrangement on basic techniques, reading patterns, colourwork, cables, lace, brioche knitting, garment construction, finishing techniques and fixing mistakes and yarn analysis. She has a special interest in teaching sock and mitten knitting. She also teaches crochet for beginners and hand spinning with both drop spindle and wheel.
