Create your own unique appliqué felt pennant with textile artist Laura Holden. Pennants historically are a powerful way to display symbols of belonging or protest, in buildings or on parades and marches. We’ll be working on making a pennant by hand-stitching a symbol or motif of your choosing.
Suitable for all levels including beginners.
All materials provided. Please could the participants bring along a reference image or sketch of a motif they would like to use on their pennant.
Laura Holden is a textile artist from Somerset. After graduating from a degree in Fine Art from Middlesex Laura exhibitors widely, alongside prop making & leading textile art project with schools & community groups. She now makes her own range of constructed textile homewares & toys & runs workshops.
