By Georg Kaiser, adapted by Dennis Kelly

Come and watch Georg Kaiser’s Expressionist Masterpiece come to life through this eccentric and darkly comic production by Farnham Maltings’ Young Company.
‘I am a changed man! I have sixty thousand marks and I am going to decide for myself what is and isn’t pointless so to hell with you!’
Knocked for six by his lust for an exotically perfumed woman from Florence, a trusted bank clerk shoves a stolen fortune in his pocket and escapes to the city. Ditching his bourgeois existence to embark on a rollercoaster odyssey, he scours the city’s senseless entertainments in an increasingly disillusioned search for an experience worth buying and a reason for living.
