Since their foundation in 2012, Magnard Ensemble have built a reputation for delivering both high quality concert performances and dynamic educational projects. During the 2014/15 season, they simultaneously held a Chamber Music Fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music and the inaugural joint fellowship between the RAM Open Academy and Wigmore Hall Learning. In 2016 the Revolting Rhymes and Marvellous Music project was launched as part of the nationwide celebration of the anniversary of Roald Dahl’s birth. Inspired by the colourful musical adaptations by Paul Patterson and Martin Butler, they have been touring over 20 schools and festivals across the UK with performances and creative workshops. Magnard Ensemble were generously supported by City Music Foundation on this project, and they are a Tillett Trust Young Artist 2018. Past performance highlights include the Hay Festival and the Roya Opera House, as well as featuring on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune programme.
