workshop description:

Create an elegant sculpture of a flower to decorate your garden using coloured copper wire, mesh and coloured beads. Bring photos, or real flowers for inspiration but all instructions will be given on bending and forming the wire.


All materials provided including a metal rod to attach to your flower. If you have a small pair of pliers please bring them along.

Tutor: Flora Gare

Flora is a sculptor and has been teaching drawing and sculpture in workshops, schools and adult education for over 20 years.
She graduated with an MA in Sculpture from Winchester School of Art and has since undertaken exhibitions and public commissions for various spaces such as hospitals, swimming pools and galleries including the New Ashgate gallery, Farnham. Inspired by the elements of light and water she uses delicate materials to explore time, memory and nostalgia in original and unexpected ways.
