Using chunky yarn and large knitting needles you will be shown how to make a tension swatch to work from and progress to making your own snood. You will follow a very simple pattern to make a snood. The class covers knitting basics including the knit stitch, casting on and casting off.
A set of 10mm bamboo knitting needles will be provided for you to use and take home and enough yarn to complete your project will be provided. You’ll alsop be provided with take home instructions for you to follow and to re-create the project at home.
By the end of this class you should be able to:
• Cast on & off
• Make a tension swatch
• Learn how to knit in a basic garter stitch
• Be shown how to change colour
• Sew in ends
