This workshop will cover techniques on how to use the ‘Fude’ (brush) with ‘Sumi’ (ink) on ‘washi’ (paper) to make the strokes and marks that are used to arite ‘Kana and Kanji’ (Japanese characters).
You will learn how to build up these marks to create a finished piece of work.
In Japan ‘Shodo’ is regarded as one of the core traditional Japanese crafts, developed over the last 16 centuries, it is used as a meditative tool to achieve a calm mind.
