A black and white photo of a group of four adults standing in a room during an Improv comedy workshop.

Learn the basics of improvised comedy with internationally-renowned teacher, Chris Mead.

Improv, the art of making things up on the spot, is not only an incredibly fun social activity but improves empathy, confidence and playfulness too.

You don’t have to be an actor. You don’t have to be funny. All this class requires is for you to be yourself.

Taught over five 2-hour sessions, this is for anyone who saw 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' and thought 'I’d love to try that'.

Skills we’ll look at in class:

  • listening
  • accepting and building from other people’s ideas
  • playing characters
  • welcoming the unexpected
  • supporting your scene partner
