Learn the basic foundation of crochet, making a round shape and progressing to a simple pot all in 3 hours.

As you will be using chunky yarn and a large hook you will see your work grow quickly, very satisfying for a beginner.

This class will teach you the basic techniques to make a pot for a plant or a basket for the home. A choice of colours of recycled textile yarn will be used to create your own individual pot. You will also have the opportunity at the end of the class to buy your own hook made from recycled plastic to take home and continue your own creations.

At the end of this class you will be able to:

       Create a simple chain stitch

Be able to cast on to create a round

Increase stitches to form a circle

Make a simple pot or basket

Learn how add a 2nd colour

       Sew in ends

You will also be shown examples of how to adapt the pot or basket to add a loop or handles for future projects
