training and support for independent theatre-makers

Together with Dance4 we are hosting a series of events and training opportunities designed to support independent artists and companies to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to work internationally. More events will be announced soon.

All events are free but booking is required. Captioned recordings will be available on our Resources page after the event.

To discuss access requirements please contact Hannah Slimmon, international producer.

in country briefings

These events are a chance to learn about the cultural context in different countries. Our panel of local artists, producers and funders will share their perspective on what international artists need to know before they visit. Delivered in partnership with Dance4. New briefings to be announced shortly.

alternative models of touring workshop

Responding to international travel restrictions and the ongoing climate crisis, this workshop will present a series of case studies from international artists and organisations designed to spark ideas of how you can share your work, generate income, and reach new audiences without travelling. Delivered in partnership with Orient Productions.

international producing surgeries

Focused around a specific area of work, these two-hour producing surgeries are designed to help you work through a real international producing challenge with support from a guest expert and fellow producers. The surgeries are a collaborative space where you can work things out and there are no stupid questions!

Spaces are limited to 15 per session and you will be asked to submit details of your challenge at the time of booking. Delivered in partnership with Dance4.
