Launched in 2018, the first two rounds of New Conversations supported artists and arts organisations to meet for the first time and exchange ideas and practice. 22 UK-Canada partnerships received investment, many of which have developed into ongoing projects, further exchanges and friendships.
The current round of the programme responds to a radically different context. In light of the current restrictions on international travel and the ongoing climate emergency, we want to learn how partnerships can develop and flourish remotely and are interested in seeing how artists and arts organizations respond creatively to this challenge.

New Conversations is funded and delivered by the British Council, Farnham Maltings, High Commission of Canada in the UK and Canada Council for the Arts
