The caravan assembly is a curated gathering of performance makers and international programmers and producers around a particular theme. The ambition is to encourage dialogue, exchange and collaboration. The assembly will take place over three days as part of the Brighton Festival as both a physical and virtual event.
The 2022 assembly will focus on Socially Engaged Practice - exploring how artists and theatre makers working in England, are actively involving people and communities in the way they make and present their work.
Companies and artists will have the opportunity to participate in the assembly in a range of ways including:
- Public performances – that sit in traditional and non-traditional spaces or environments, that are live or digital or presented through another medium.
- Pitch Sessions – a series of short sessions to pitch ideas or projects to the assembly delegates.
- Talks, Q&As, panel discussions, presentations and networking opportunities.
Applications have now closed and shortlisted artists will be contacted in October 2021
