WHO IS SEATED YOGA SUITABLE FOR?
Everyone is welcome. Seated Yoga is particularly suitable for anyone who has thought about trying yoga but may have been put off at the prospect of sitting on the floor!
WHAT SORT OF EXERCISES WILL THERE BE?
The exercises are short and arranged in sequences with rest and relaxation time between. They are designed to gently help you to improve the range of movement and balance, your breathing and circulation, and your concentration.
Most exercises are done sitting in a chair with some standing poses too. Balance exercises can also be done sitting in a chair but we may invite you to stand, holding on to the back of your chair for support.
Each exercise is an invitation to participate in the way that is best for your own health and well-being, so please only try exercises that you feel are right for you. It is always OK to stop the exercise at any point you need to and just relax. Benefits can be gained by simply being in the energy of the room and enjoying the relaxing part of these sessions.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have any old or new injuries or any current health concerns please always consult your GP before joining. If you decide to engage in this exercise class, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities and assume all risk of injury to yourself.
