Our annual Spark Festival is approaching fast! Over the last weekend of March, the Maltings will be celebrating the arts, the many-splendoured talents of the young people of Waverley, and all the great work that Spark does in the local area. And, this year, in partnership with Tesco and Groundwork, your weekly shop could make a real difference.
Tesco Bags of Help
So how can you be Bags of Help to Spark? All throughout March and April, Tesco shoppers will have the opportunity to vote for the charity or project they feel deserving of receiving a grant. Using money raised from sales of Bags for Life, Tesco awards
up to £4,000 to each local winner.
To vote, all you have to do is make a purchase at participating Tesco stores*. You will then receive a blue token to put in the pot of your chosen charity. The charities with the most recommendations are then eligible to receive the funding.
It doesn’t matter if you’re grabbing a stick of gum, doing that Herculean weekly shop for the family or stockpiling for the end of the world: everyone gets a vote. And if you want to build up that post-apocalyptic cache one tin of beans at a time, wearing a different elaborate moustache for each purchase in order to vote for Spark over and over again, we won’t tell.
If you’re able and willing to vote for Spark, we thank you enormously. Either way, be sure to visit the Maltings on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 March to join in the Spark celebration.
